Kpop fans, brace yourselves for HallyuPopFest 2018! For those who may not already know, the biggest K-Pop music festival in Southeast Asia is set to take the Singapore Indoor Stadium stage this September. The music extravaganza will be hosted by singer-songwriter Eric Nam and with him are an astounding 111 K-Pop idols in tow.
One last Wanna One
Given this year’s spectacular line-up, fans in the region can look forward to a slew of exciting performances. Shout and cheer (or cry; we did the same when we finally caught Radiohead live) for your favourite acts while basking yourself in the glory of popular groups like BTOB and Apink. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will make her first solo performance in Singapore, and sexy sirens AOA will make an appearance as well.
Fans of Wanna One, you need to know this: the group will be holding a special two-part performance over the first two nights of the festival before disbanding at the end of the year so catch them while you still can!
So you think you want to be a Kpop star
Other than live performances, ticket holders will also be able to attend red-carpet fan events and better yet, audition to be a K-Pop star. Three of Korea’s biggest K-Entertainment companies – Cube Entertainment, Starship Entertainment and Jellyfish Entertainment will be holding vocal, dance and acting auditions on different days of the festival. So long as you have a ticket, you’ll be able to sign up for all three days of audition. Simply send in your introductory video clip for a chance to be shortlisted for the actual auditions..
With regards to ticketing, there are five standard ticket categories ranging from S$148 to S$298 per day, and the ultimate Daebak! premium tickets at S$498 per day. All ticket holders are granted free access to same-day afternoon showcases, the red carpet event and to the evening concert.
With that said, it’s time to go K-razy fellow K-Pop fans! For more details about the festival, you can visit their website.
