The Gulbeop Buddhist Sanctum is hidden away in a cave. There is also a three-storey pagoda in front of the main sanctuary that’s home to four lion statues that symbolise joy, anger, sadness and happiness.
This is one of the most popular Busan tourist attractions, drawing many visitors during festive occasions like New Year’s Day and the Buddha’s birthday (on the eighth day in the fourth month of the lunar calendar). During the spring season, this place also transforms into a wonderful cherry blossom viewing spot!
