Shreya NairRunning out of TV shows, movies, and series to binge-watch? Well, Disney+ might just be the solution! On 23 Feb 2021, Singapore will launch Disney+, offering content brands that include Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.
This makes Singapore the first market to globally launch all six Disney+ content brands.
Wondering what are some of the shows and movies you can catch on the platform? The Star brand — targeting families and older teenagers will feature titles such as Deadpool. Additionally, the streaming platform will also include original content and specials like The Mandalorian, Lady and the Tramp, WandaVision, and more.

Star will also introduce its first original series, Big Sky. The show follows two private detectives as they search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana.
All in all, you can expect over 500 films and 15,000 episodes of content from Disney+ once launched in Singapore.

The streaming platform is priced at SGD11.98 per month or SGD119.98 per year. The subscription is inclusive of up to four concurrent streams and unlimited downloads of content on up to ten devices.
Additionally, users can create up to 7 different profiles which will offer personalised recommendations. Parents can also set up profiles for their kids to filter age-appropriate content.

While you can’t gather in big groups for a movie night, the GroupWatch feature on Disney+ allows subscribers to watch content with groups of friends and family members virtually.
Those interested may subscribe to the platform through the Disney+ website. They can also use the Disney+ app which will be available on both Android and iOS devices once launched in Singapore.
The streaming platform will be compatible with mobile and television devices including, gaming consoles and streaming media players.
Movie buffs who subscribe to the platform will have access to a list of blockbusters including all Star Wars films, a range of Marvel superhero films, and even animated and live-action versions of Disney movies.
