Bringing the Northern Lights to Singapore
Mark your calendars! Borealis officially premieres on 5 May 2024, and admission is completely free. The show will mesmerise audiences every Saturday and Sunday from 9.00pm to 9.30pm. An additional show is available on Mondays from 8.00pm to 8.30pm.
Conceived by Swiss artist Dan Acher, Borealis utilises 30 lasers and specially designed cloud machines. The lasers project a breathtaking light display onto clouds generated by the machines, strategically positioned on the iconic Supertrees within the Supertree Grove. This ingenious setup creates the illusion of the aurora borealis shimmering and swirling across the night sky. To complete the immersive experience, a specially composed soundtrack by French composer Guillaume Desbois adds another layer of wonder.
Borealis isn’t just a one-off spectacle
This innovative light installation has already captivated audiences in over 40 cities worldwide, touring across Europe, Australia, the US, and Asia. Now, it’s Singapore’s turn to experience the magic!
Borealis promises to be a dazzling addition to the existing lineup of nighttime activities at Gardens by the Bay. Borealis joins the beloved Garden Rhapsody, making Gardens by the Bay a must-visit for nighttime entertainment.
