This will be the first international route for Qantas’ A220 fleet, after having been primarily deployed on domestic services. The decision to reintroduce the Darwin-Singapore route comes after a hiatus of nearly two decades. The airline previously planned to use a leased Embraer E190 jet for the service but opted to deploy the more capable A220 instead.
