It’s time to reunite with our beloved Bingsus, street markets and crazy theme parks!
Since its last laboratory confirmed case on July 4, 2015, South Korea is now one month free from Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV), or MERS as it’s more commonly known, a deadly virus which made serious health and economic impacts to the affected countries in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
While the World Health Organization (WHO) has yet to make its final statement, the South Korean government already declared a de facto end to MERS outbreak on July 28, 2015. The officials also assured the public that they will continue to monitor the situation and improve their health care facilities.
So if you’re thinking of dropping any travel plans to MERS-Free South Korea, there’s absolutely no more reason for you to do so! And if you’re one of those who cancelled your trip to Korea because of the outbreak, it’s time to start re-booking your vacation.
