Whenever I travel to other countries, buying souvenirs for my friends and loved ones back home is always part of the itinerary. When I travelled to Korea last Dec 2016, I ditched the usual keychains and hunted down these cute and cheap Korea souvenirs instead. Would you believe some of them only cost ₩1,000 (US$0.80)? Dirt cheap, right?!

Korea souvenirs as keepsakes
1. Socks
I’d say this is the safest, cutest and cheapest item on the list. These socks come in many different colours and designs. From cartoon characters and animals to national flags and signature brands — you name it, Korea has it!

These chopsticks are so pretty, your friends would probably never want to use them.

I’m not a fan of beauty products, but when they’re offered for FREE, who am I to refuse? When you explore Myeongdong, some, if not all, skincare shops will offer free face masks. It’s up to you, though, if you grab the freebies or not.

25. Korean ginseng
Ginseng can be an expensive item to buy if you go for the really premium stuff, but as a common ingredient, you won’t need to pay an arm or leg here! Best for impressing would be in-laws with – they don’t have to know the real cost of it!
