What’s more, the restaurant is committed to reducing carbon footprints and supporting local farmers by serving up dishes made from fresh local produce.

Open all day, you can feast on the chef’s special homemade granola, signature sous-vide egg, delicious pastries and more for breakfast, at just RM70 (~S$24) nett per person. For lunch, be spoilt for choice with delectable offerings such as the Rempah Kuzi Kambing and Dorper Lamb Rack. But the best meal at Trace Restaurant & Bar is undoubtedly dinner, with amazing choices like Seared Barramundi Fillet, Spring Greens Seafood Spaghetti and pizza. 5. Dine at TAPAK, home to a variety of food trucks

Enjoy a wide variety of food from around the world at TAPAK, a food truck park along Jalan Ampang, just a stone’s throw away from Element KL. Open 7 days a week from 6pm to midnight (3am on Fridays and Saturdays), you can swing by for dinner or for a late night snack if you’re feeling peckish. Tables and chairs are provided so you can dine here, or you can get takeaway to bring back to the hotel if it’s raining.

From Western fusion food to local favourites like Sarawak Kolo Mee, the types of cuisine available vary from day to day. Pop down during the weekdays for a more relaxed atmosphere, or come during the weekends when there are street performers for a more lively experience. A short LRT ride away from the hotel is Petaling Street, also known as Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown. Here, you can find a smorgasbord of hawker stalls selling local Chinese delicacies. You can have a plate of sinful char kway teow skilfully fried by an old hawker, or try Malaysian-style Bak Kut Teh with its rich herbal flavours. For more choice, opt for lok lok, which are skewers of meat and vegetables that you choose for the stall vendors to cook, which you then dip into your choice of sauces. You’ll definitely be spoilt for choice here.

In addition to street food, there are also hundreds of stores selling cheap goods for travellers on a tight budget. Don’t forget to bargain!

7. Shop ‘til you drop at KLCC/Pavilion/Bukit Bintang

For the shopaholics, Suria KLCC is a short 15-minute walk away from the hotel. With over 300 retail shops, an underwater aquarium and a science centre, you can easily spend an entire day here. If you have a slightly larger budget, you can also visit Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which is another 15 minutes away and features renowned fashion labels like Givenchy, Prada and Versace.

For an even greater variety of shopping options, you can head down to the Bukit Bintang District, which features other shopping malls like Berjaya Times Square, as well as restaurants from all over the world.
