Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is Looking For A ‘Life Partner’ to Travel With Him To The Moon

Fancy snagging a one-in-a-billion chance at space travel to the moon with a billionaire? Here's how you can apply.

It’s certainly not your ordinary first date: Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is now looking for a companion to travel to the moon with. Set to leave in 2023, the tycoon and art collector is looking for a female “life partner” to come with him on Elon Musk’s Space X’s maiden tourist voyage around the moon.

He recently posted an advertisement online, announcing his search for a woman who would also love to share this out-of-the-world journey with him. According to the ad, applications are now open and will run till January 17, 2020 with the lucky chosen candidate revealed by the end of March.

Mr. Maezawa has also spelled out a few criteria: applicants have to be over 20, possess a “bright and positive” personality and have an interest in space travel, of course. The application website also boasts a list of conditions as well as a timeline for the three-month long application process.

He is an avid user of social media and has been somewhat aggressive with his search, using various platforms including Twitter to reach out to as many possible candidates as possible. The divorced father of three is known to have had a string of celebrity girlfriends, so we’ll have to see if this slightly unconventional search will bear fruit.

Interested in snagging a trip to the moon as Yusaku Maezawa’s “life partner”? Here’s your chance – applications are open until January 17!
