It’s going to get really hot in the ever-popular tourist destination of Bangkok! According to the Thai meteorological department, temperatures are set to soar to as high as 37°C between February and March, and 36-38°C from April to May.

And that’s not the worst! Northern Thailand, home to backpacker central Mae Hong Son, is set for an even hotter summer, with temperatures to hit 42-43°C until April.
On average, Thailand will observe an increase of 1-2°C compared to last year.
Let’s hope that Songkran’s water throwing shenanigans, which takes place from 13-15 April, will bring some much-needed respite!
Until then, if you’re visiting Thailand, don’t forget to hydrate and slap on extra sunscreen.
