Studying abroad and heading back to school after the summer holidays with an even fuller luggage? We all know how you’d love to bring along cherished personal items or instant noodles, jars of kaya, sambal chilli and all sorts of crackers to tide over the winter semester.
The good news is that British Airways has just announced that students about to return to campus will receive double baggage allowance of up to 46kg for a check-in baggage. They are also allowed one carry-on baggage of up to 23kg per person per trip.
This is part of British Airways’ tradition of supporting Singapore students who are flying back to their respective countries for school.
In addition, British Airways has rolled out student deals starting from S$1,211. This includes return travel to London and a free trip to a destination in the UK or Europe as a flight stopover, or via Heathrow Express to one of the 16 First Great Western destinations including Bath, Bristol Parkway, Cardiff, Exeter and Oxford.
Fret not if you study in the US or Australia. These fares are also available for students travelling to the region. However, US students will not enjoy the benefits of a free stopover at a UK or European destination, or the complimentary train services.
The special student offer is valid for a year from the date of travel. To redeem the student deals, students have to present their official and current international student identification at British Airways’ partnering travel agents – STA Travel, Price Breaker or Chan Brothers Travel – as well as during their trip.
