Eiffel Tower Ticket Price Increase Set to Roll Out in June

The decision by the Paris City Council comes after a period of financial strain for the Eiffel Tower operator, Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE). Low visitor numbers due to the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted revenue. It became difficult to keep up with the ongoing maintenance required for such a magnificent structure.

This isn’t just about a fresh coat of paint (although that’s important too!). The Eiffel Tower requires regular upkeep to prevent rust and ensure its continued structural integrity. Ideally, the Eiffel Tower gets a fresh coat of paint every seven years. Unfortunately, due to funding limitations, the last comprehensive repaint happened way back in 2010.

The good news is, the price increase is structured fairly. While adult ticket prices will rise from €29.40 (S$43.04) to €35.30 (S$51.68), concessions are available for children. Tickets for those aged 12 to 14 will cost €17.70 (S$25.91). For kids aged 4 to 11, tickets will still be a budget-friendly €8.90 (S$13.03).
