Found amidst the busy terminals of Changi Airport lies Jewel Changi Airport, a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex often featured on social media for its iconic Rain Vortex — the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. However, did you know that this multifaceted centre is also the perfect destination for families looking for fun activities during the weekend? With the March school holidays just around the corner, here are our top 6 picks on various family-friendly activities you can do at Jewel Changi Airport!
Things to do at Jewel Changi for family fun
1. Learn all about their past at Changi Experience Studio
Changi Experience Studio is a digital experience centre where visitors can learn about the “Changi narrative”. Discover Changi Airport’s humble beginnings and behind-the-scenes operations through 20 different touchpoints; ranging from an adrenaline-pumping runway race, to a collaborative symphonic garden.
In conjunction with the school break, Changi Experience Studio has also launched two workshops titled Be a Changi Sustainability Champion and A Day in the Life of a Changi Trolley for families to partake in. Young ones will have to think out of the box as they embark on a journey to learn more about the airport’s different practices and features.
Each programme lasts for three hours and is priced at $48 to $58 per child. Head over to their website for more information.
2. Jump for joy on the Manulife Sky Nets
Ever wanted to feel what it’s like walking on air? Manulife Sky Nets consists of a taut web that is suspended mid-air on the highest floor of the mall. There are two ways to enjoy this attraction: walking and bouncing.
The Walking Nets suspends 25 metres above ground and gives a bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Meanwhile, the Bouncing Nets is akin to a giant trampoline, where you can jump to your heart’s content and experience the thrill of being almost weightless.

3. Spot multiple “wildlife” at Canopy Park
At first glance, you may mistake these sculptures for actual animals. Found in Canopy Park’s Topiary Walk, these realistic structures are made of completely natural materials — such as coconut husks and flowers — and are ideal for families looking to snap some playful shots of the beautiful indoor garden.
Aside from these static displays, the park includes two other whimsical attractions: Discovery Slides and Foggy Bowls. Kids can whiz down a wacky slide and frolic in puffs of “cloudy fog” while you take a short respite on the surrounding benches.
4. Explore the Hedge Maze and Mirror Maze
Those up for a challenge check out these cool labyrinths. Surrounded by six-foot-tall hedges, the Hedge Maze is the largest of its kind in Singapore and is perfect for a game of hide-and-seek as adventurers attempt to make their way around the seemingly endless corners.
Those looking to take it up a notch can bring their kids to the Mirror Maze, where even those with perfect vision will find it tough to find their way out by navigating around glass panels.
5. Visit Asia’s first Pokémon Center outside of Japan
Featuring the fan favourite yellow mascot, Pokémon Center Singapore is simply a kids’ paradise! Aside from selling official Pokémon merchandise, the store also has an interactive Pokédex display where visitors can learn more about Pokémon from the newer games. Arcade machines are also available in the store, where kids can try their hands at some challenging games to get special collectable game cards.
What’s more, you can now get your hands on exclusive Pokémon squishy mini plushies! Available in six different designs, be sure to catch ’em all as these collector’s items are launched first-hand in Singapore. Find out more here.
