Always wanted to go camping out in the wild but never had the chance to? Or maybe you’re worried about the dangers and inconvenience of it all? Well, now you can get the best of both worlds – adventure and comfort – when you go glamping at Camp Fest!
Wildlife enthusiasts can now indulge in three entirely different camping experiences at the Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Night Safari. Organised by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, Camp Fest will be happening this November and December. Perfect time for a family outing! (Are we giving you ideas yet?)
Sleep with the Beasts @ Singapore Zoo
Campers would be taken through breeding complex of Fragile Forest on the Spineless Wonders Behind-the-Scenes tour, where they will be educated on how invertebrates are taken care of in the park. You’ll also get a chance to feed baboons, pet a hissing cockroach or a stick insect – if you’re up for it! When it’s time to hit the hay, let the relaxing sounds of nature lull you to a peaceful slumber while you relax in your tent under the stars.
There’s also a campfire and loads of games to be played! Because no camping experience is complete without a campfire and singing campfire songs, right?
Sleep with the Beasts will be held from 2 – 3 December 2017, starting from 3.30pm on Saturday until 11am on Sunday.
Sleep with the Manatees @ River Safari
With your tent pitched in the air-conditioned Amazon Flooded Forest, you’re definitely in for a relaxing time here. Fall asleep to the sight of manatees swimming gracefully right in front of your tent after a day of learning more about the animals at River Safari and Night Safari.
Campers can even have a go at feeding the arapaima, one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world.
Sleep with the Manatees will be held on the 25th and 26th of November 2017, beginning at 4pm on Saturday and ending at 11am on Sunday.
Sleep with the Night Critters @ Night Safari
Be treated to a delectable 3-course dinner alongside other campers in Singapore’s first ever luxurious tipi tent! After your meal, tour Night Safari’s six geographical regions on a private buggy with your very own personal guide! At the end of the tour, sit back for the Creatures of the Night show and be wowed by the unique skills of the various animals.
At the end of the day, allow the symphony of the surrounding rainforest soothe you to sleep. If you’re lucky, you might even get to hear the sound of lions roaring to create an authentic safari experience.
Sleep with the Night Critters will start at 5pm on 9 December 2017 (Saturday) and last till 10am on 10 December 2017 (Sunday).
