After a booze-fuelled night, the morning after is not usually a pleasant occasion. But often than not, many great stories are borne out of those crazy nights. Now, there is a new museum in Zagreb, Croatia, dedicated to commemorate those boozy nights aptly called the Museum of Hangovers!
Co-founded by a university student, Rino Dubokovic, the museum features exhibits that includes displays of unexplained objects people have found on them the morning after, a room where visitors can try on “beer goggles” (which simulates drunkenness and test their reflexes), and an interactive section where they can share their own hangover stories.Â
Opened in December last year, the museum is also laid out to replicate a boozy walk home with rooms resembling a street, storefronts, a park and finally a bedroom where you can finally crash after an intense night out. The inspiration for the museum came when Dubokovic was recounting hilarious hangover stories with his friends on a drunk night.
The museum hopes to be a place where people can share and have a laugh over boozy nights in their lives. While there has been backlash over the perceived glorification of alcohol abuse, Dubokovic has noted that there are future plans to warn visitors of the risks of drinking. For now however, visitors will only have the crazy stories shared as a lesson!
The Museum of Hangovers is located at Preradovićeva ul. 8, 10000, Zagreb, Croatia. For more information, visit their website https://www.museumofhangovers.com!
