Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) has added a playful twist to its in-flight safety instructions by unveiling a new Pokemon-themed safety video on 15 Aug. The video, designed to captivate passengers while delivering essential safety information, features beloved Pokemon characters, including Pikachu and Eevee, as passengers on the flight.

Pokemon characters appear as flight passengers
The informative 4-minute and 48-second video showcases various Pokemon, acting as flight passengers, demonstrating the dos and don’ts of flying. From advising passengers not to vape in the cabin to showing how to properly fasten a seatbelt, the video covers all the crucial safety guidelines. The Pokemon also demonstrate how to put on an emergency oxygen mask and evacuate the plane safely.
Of course, Pikachu, the undeniable star of the Pokemon universe, shines throughout the video, being its adorable and electrifying self. The charismatic Lucario also makes an appearance, adding to the charm of the quirky safety video.

This imaginative in-flight safety video is the result of ANA’s collaboration with The Pokemon Company. The airline expressed on their website that the goal of the video is to “provide excitement to our customers” and to ensure that the in-flight safety message “can be enjoyed by people of all ages.” By incorporating familiar and beloved characters, ANA hopes to engage passengers of all ages in a fun yet informative way.
Themed planes and Pokemon-themed souvenirs
The Pokemon-themed safety video will be featured on ANA’s specially decorated Pikachu Jet NH and Eevee Jet NH planes. These planes are not just adorned with Pokemon livery on the exterior but also feature themed decorations inside the cabin. Flight routes and availability
Currently, the Pikachu Jet NH aircraft is making round trips from Singapore’s Changi Airport to Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda Airports, and vice versa. However, the Eevee Jet NH is not making any flights to or from Singapore at this time.
