In an astounding feat, Malaysia‘s Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has climbed to the fourth spot on a list of the world’s 10 most Instagrammable airports, surpassing the world-famous Singapore‘s Changi Airport. This achievement underscores Kuala Lumpur’s growing popularity as a travel destination and the airport’s ability to captivate visitors with its unique features and attractions.

A crowning feat for Kuala Lumpur International Airport
According to a study, KLIA secured the fourth position with over 600,000 hashtags, while Changi Airport slipped into fifth place.
Los Angeles International Airport reigned champion as the world’s most Instagrammable airport, with runner-up and third-place positions taken by San Francisco International Airport and London’s Heathrow Airport respectively.
How the study was conducted
The study analysed the 50 busiest airports worldwide based on passenger traffic and identified their most popular hashtags. By tracking the frequency of these hashtags on Instagram, researchers were able to determine the top 10 most Instagrammable airports.
Other airports in the top 10 include Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, Dubai International Airport in the UAE, Tokyo Haneda Airport in Japan, Frankfurt Airport in Germany, and Gatwick Airport in the U.K.
