Malaysia’s about to get even more exciting!
Slated to open on 26 June in Ipoh is Asia’s first ever animation theme park, Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS). Housing 23 interactive attractions and 15 rides over six thematic zones, MAPS is set to be Perak’s hottest new destination!

One of the many highlights of the park is definitely the Smurfs! Fans of these adorable blue creatures will be delighted to know that there is a Smurfs Theatre, Smurfs Partyland and a Smurftastic Live Show. You can even meet the entire Smurfs family in their mushroom homes at the Smurfs Clubhouse!

Besides the Smurfs, other popular cartoon characters are also featured in this theme park. Visitors can look forward to a jolly time on the Mr Peabody & Sherman’s Time Adventure ride as well as Casper’s Birthday Blast ride!

Thrill-seekers, there are plenty here for you too. A must-ride is the Megamind Megadrop which takes you up to a whopping 52 metres in the air before plunging you back down to the ground. In fact, it is the tallest drop tower ride in Malaysia! Other than that, you can test your prowess by taking on the Asteroid Attack, Hyperspin and Space X-Plorers. The question is: do you dare?

In between rides and shows, you will not be hungry. From the galactic Starship Restaurant to the quirky Croods Caveteria, there is a wide selection of themed food and beverage outlets everywhere. Or just step into the Coral Kingdom café to experience dining in an underwater setting.
