Singapore Restaurants With A View: 11 Best Elevated Dining Spots

11 Overlooking Restaurants & Bars in Singapore With the Best Views

From rooftop dining to seaside escapes!

Whether you’re a tourist or a full-on local, it’s hard to deny that Singapore is definitely ‘where it’s at.’ Most people would agree that it’s quite easy to fall in love with. After all, it boasts a diverse cultural scene, skyline dotted with futuristic structures, and an impressive culinary landscape — to name a few. So, imagine how delightful it would be to experience these three things all at once! Clearly, I’m talking about Singapore restaurants with a view overlooking the best scenery that this island city-state has to offer.

Don’t know where to start? Well then, you’ve certainly come to the right place. We’ve compiled a list of the best overlooking restaurants in Singapore for a truly elevated dining experience!

1. Skai

First up on must-visit Singapore restaurants with a view is Skai. Situated on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford, it’s also one of the tallest overlooking restaurants you’ll find. It features Scandinavian-Japanese interiors, as seen with the green foliage, maple accents, and minimalist elements that are equal parts chic and homey! But perhaps the main events would be the floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views from Padang to Marina Bay, and the 10 types of rare beef on the menu.

2. Jaan

Also on the same floor of Swissôtel The Stamford is Jaan, an intimate restaurant that specialises in modern British fine dining. It’s also consistently on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for the past few years, especially when chef Kirk Westaway launched his Reinventing British menu! Interiors-wise, the place keeps it mostly toned down; save for the glimmering Murano glass chandelier taking over the ceilings. We recommend coming here during the daytime for a lunch with a view of Singapore’s skyline that’s well worth the splurge.

3. 1-ATICO

Occupying the two topmost levels of Ion Orchard is the multi-concept dining space, 1-ATICO. It’s divided into three distinct overlooking restaurants: Argentinian grill,  FIRE; Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei gastro bar, FLNT; and the rooftop bar, ATICO Lounge. Whichever you go with, you’re guaranteed spectacular views of different parts of the city, thanks to their specially-designed lofty windows.

With its dramatic ceilings and copper-toned accents, VUE is reminiscent of a grand ol’ European train station. You’ll find this resto-slash-rooftop spritz bar (the first of its kind in the country!) atop the OUE Bayfront. Its name literally translates to ‘view’ in French, and in this case — it’s the iconic Central Business District skyline. And, of course, the eclectic fusion cuisine and versatile selection of wines are also a must-try!

5. Dusk Restaurant & Bar

Looking for Singapore restaurants with a view from a hilltop? Then head over to Dusk Restaurant & Bar on Mount Faber! Instead of the usual downtown cityscape, you can enjoy the relaxing panorama of Harbourfront and Sentosa — including the gondolas swinging by. We recommended coming here just in time to watch the sunset (as its name implies), while enjoying some hearty mains, Euro-style tapas, and fruity cocktails. Sounds like an enticing quick escape from the hustle and bustle, yes?

6. LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar

Located atop the iconic Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is LAVO, A.K.A. your best bet for Italian-American cuisine. After all, its kitchen is led by award-winning chef, Ralph Scamardella, whose resume includes the famous Plaza Hotel in New York City. This influence shows not only in the hearty meals, but also in the luxe interiors that seem to take you back in time! Meanwhile, its spacious garden terrace is perf for enjoying their craft cocktails and weekend parties. Oh, and the views over Gardens by the Bay and the Singapore River don’t hurt either!

Also at Marina Bay Sands is Spago Dining Room — the first Asian outpost of American chef Wolfgang Puck’s concept in Beverly Hills! We can’t get enough of its bungalow-inspired interiors; including summery hues, IG-worthy tiles, and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the famous infinity pool on one side and the southern coast on the other. It’s also a great setting for lunch with a view in Singapore, what with its superb set menu during these hours.

You’ll find it on the 63rd floor of One Raffles Place! Meanwhile, there’s also Stellar at 1-Altitude one floor below, where you can feast on sumptuous Australian cuisine… and maybe even their lavish champagne brunch if you’re dropping by on a Sunday. 9. Panamericana

Want a break from the usual sight of glass and steel structures in the city? Then we recommend Panamericana on the sunny Sentosa island. Its impressive menu showcases the cuisine of 14 different countries found along the Pan-American Highway, hence the name. And given its location, it’s certainly one of the Singapore restaurants with a view that’s hard to find elsewhere. Picture the soothing greenery from the golf course and the glimmering Singapore Strait, both of which you can enjoy from the breezy veranda!

Zafferano is perched on the 43rd floor of Ocean Financial Centre. It also offers the best of both traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine in town, with Naples-raised chef Andrea De Paola at the helm. Some of the dishes we can’t stop raving about are their squid ink risotto and gnocchi made with ricotta cheese. Meanwhile, its stunning circular space offers a 360-degree view overlooking the downtown skyline both from inside the resto and from the outdoor bar.
