Peach Aviation Ltd. has announced the launch of a new daily route between Singapore and Osaka (Kansai), set to commence on 5 Dec 2024. The airline will operate seven flights a week using the state-of-the-art Airbus A321LR aircraft. Tickets for these new flights are on sale now, with fares starting from just S$164.20 one way.

The only Japanese airline to operate direct flights to Osaka from Singapore

The Singapore-Osaka route will be serviced by Peach’s Airbus A321LR, an aircraft known for its improved in-flight comfort and spacious seating. With a seat pitch of up to 32 inches (approximately 81 cm), passengers can enjoy a comfortable journey on the 6.5-hour flight. Each seat is also equipped with a USB charging terminal, ensuring that travellers can charge their phones throughout their flight.
Mr. Sator Endo, Chief Corporate Planning Officer of Peach, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating, “We are very pleased that Peach will be the only Japanese airline to operate the Singapore-Osaka route. With our cutting-edge Airbus A321LR aircraft, we will take you to Osaka in comfort and offer an exciting experience in the booming Kansai region.”
Expanding connectivity between Singapore and Japan
The introduction of Peach’s Singapore-Osaka flight route adds a new dimension to air travel between the two cities, giving travellers more alternatives to explore Japan. Osaka, known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant food scene, and attractions such as Osaka Castle and Universal Studios Japan, is a popular destination for Singaporeans.
Mr. Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President of Air Hub & Cargo Development at Changi Airport Group, welcomed Peach’s new service, noting, “Japan continues to be a top holiday destination for Singapore residents, with passenger traffic growing more than 25% year-on-year in the first half of 2024. This new route not only strengthens the connectivity between Singapore and Japan but also expands travel choices for our passengers.”

Peach’s new direct flights to Osaka also enhance travel connectivity within Japan. From Osaka, Peach offers connections to 13 domestic destinations, allowing passengers to easily travel throughout the country. This makes it an attractive option for both tourists and business travellers looking to explore more of Japan beyond the major cities.

Japan National Tourism Organization recorded an estimated 3.14 million international travellers to Japan in Jun 2024, marking the highest number of foreign visitors ever recorded. Regarding the ranking of international tourists visiting Japan, Singapore is in the top 10 with 58,900 visitors in Jun 2024.
