Glass Window Bridge: The Atlantic Meets The Caribbean

Glass Window Bridge: The Atlantic Meets The Caribbean

Considered as the narrowest place on earth, Glass Window Bridge in Eleuthera Island of the Bahamas, is the place where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea.

Glass Window Bridge

Are you familiar with the song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel? This Glass Window Bridge, located in the Eleuthera Island of the Bahamas, is literally a bridge over troubled waters.

Often referred to as the narrowest place on earth, it is the best juxtaposition of two massive bodies of water meeting at certain point on earth. The dark blue Atlantic on one side beautifully contrasts the calm turquoise Caribbean on the other end.

While the bridge is one of the most visited places in Eleuthera, visitors are forewarned to take extra measures. Strong and big waves reaching as high as 100 feet may arrive even on days when the weather is totally fine.

Take a look at this aerial video of the Glass Window Bridge, and marvel at the contrast between the two seas!
