Would you believe it if I told you that this beautiful, sunny patch of island came from a bomb site? If so, it is truly the most gorgeous bomb site you will ever lay your eyes upon! Located on the Marieta Islands in Puerto Vallarta, this isolated strip of sand (known as the “hidden beach”) was formed in the early 1900s when the Mexican government used the site for target practice. Rather than finding a charred mass, this enchanting abandoned beach has bewildered many with its pristine beauty. In order to come to this hidden beach, visitors will have to swim through a short tunnel before coming out on the other side onto the warm sandy shores of paradise.
