Would you buy a hot dog that costs USD 169 (approx. SGD 211)? It’s ridiculously too pricey for a hot dog but if you’ll know where your money goes, it will definitely not hurt your pocket as much.
Guinness World Records has recently confirmed Tokyo Dog’s “Juuni Ban” as the most expensive hot dog commercially available. Juuni Ban is a smoked cheese bratwurst served on a brioche bun, with no mustard or relish. It has gourmet toppings such as butter Teriyaki grilled onions, Maitake mushrooms, Wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, caviar and Japanese mayonnaise.
Curious how it’s made? Watch this.
This hot dog has become so popular that orders must be made two weeks in advance. The money you spent for this expensive hot dog will not only give you a delectable treat, it will also let you help other people through the American Red Cross.
