Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year celebration, is best known for its large-scale water fights, symbolising purification and the washing away of bad luck. Rooted in Buddhist traditions, Songkran also involves visiting temples and spending time with family.
Over the years, the holiday has evolved into a nationwide celebration that attracts both locals and tourists, with cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai hosting some of the biggest water festivals.
The S20 Songkran Music Festival is an annual electronic dance music (EDM) festival held in Thailand during Songkran. Known for its high-energy performances, massive water effects, and world-class DJ lineups, the festival transforms traditional water fights into an immersive music experience.
