Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ budget arm, is launching flights to Melaka, Malaysia. The frequency of these flights will be five times a week. Tickets start from S$118 return on weekends (excludes processing fees) and are cheaper on weekdays. The 55-minute flight is expected to be popular.

Announcement of new travel routes
Scoot is expanding its reach with new flights to Melaka and Kertajati. The budget airline will launch services to these Southeast Asian destinations in September and October 2024, thanks to the arrival of two new Embraer E190-E2 planes. Their third and fourth aircraft are named Jalan-Jalan and Travel Kaki respectively. This expansion boosts Scoot’s network to 72 destinations.
Flight schedules and ticket sales
- Kertajati, Indonesia: Starting 28 Sep 2024, Scoot flights will operate on travel routes to and from Kertajati twice a week.
- Melaka, Malaysia: Starting 23 Oct 2024, passengers can expect flights to Melaka operating five times a week.

CEO’s statement

Another travel route to Malaysia
Scoot is also expanding its reach in Malaysia with new daily flights to Subang starting 1 Sep 2024. Located in Kuala Lumpur at a relatively closer distance, Subang offers travellers a convenient alternative travel route to the main airport.
