The inaugural Singapore Tea Festival (STF) makes its debut at the upcoming 2017 edition of Singapore Food Festival from 22–23 July at ION Orchard.

Organised and presented by local heritage tea retailer The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., the Singapore Tea Festival celebrates one of the world’s most popular beverage with a showcase of 17homegrown tea and lifestyle brands. An interactive experience for tea enthusiasts and the tea-curious, the weekend festival will feature new tea collections and signature tea blends, tea-inspired wares and modern tea bites, alongside tea-themed workshops and a tea heritage exhibition.
The highlights of the Singapore Tea Festival includes four main elements –a ‘Tea Market’ to showcase homegrown tea vendors, a tea-themed pop-up café ‘Teapitiam’, a ‘Tea Room’ which will host workshops open to the public, and a ‘Tea Museum’.
Tea Market
Shop and sample new tea collections and tea flavours from a mix of established and artisanal homegrown tea brands at Tea Market, including a National Day collection of local hawker-drinks inspired tea from The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.; floral teas inspired by iconic Singapore neighbourhoods from Pin Tea; new organic cold brews and tea blends with traditional Chinese herbs from Infusion-de-vie.
Adding to the mix are tea-related lifestyle offerings such as tea-pairing literature titles curated by BooksActually, lifestyle products from Naiise, and ceramic wares by Mud Rock.
Teapitiam
Curated by Burpple, one of Singapore’s fastest growing food recommendation platforms, the festival’s Teapitiamis a pop-up caféofferingmodern tea bites of all-time favourite classics and modern reinventions created by iconic local chefs. The curated medley of tea-inspired foods includes a festival-exclusive gelato from Birds of Paradise, one-off special edition Ugnuts by Bird Bird and earl grey tea cakes by Inthebrickyard – all using flavours infused with tea blends from The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.
Tea Room & Tea Museum
The Tea Room will feature a series of tea-themed workshops and creative craft sessions dedicated to discovering more about the intricacies and culture of tea. Travel through time to discover the origins behind the aromatic beverage and its rise to prominence at the Tea Museum. This exhibition chronicles tea’s expansive history and its convergence with Singapore culture with nostalgic photographs contributed by Tea Chapter, one of the oldest and biggest traditional tea houses in Singapore.
