Free and easy passport collection, yes please!

Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is making life easier for locals and visitors with the opening of a new ICA Services Centre. If you’re planning to make a trip down to ICA soon, here’s everything you need to know about this new facility.

Location of the new centre

The new ICA Services Centre will officially open its doors on April 7, 2025. It is located at 2 Crawford Street, right next to the existing ICA headquarters, making it a convenient location for anyone needing to take care of their immigration paperwork.

While parking will be unavailable at the new centre until 2027 due to ongoing construction at the ICA carpark, visitors can still use alternative parking around the area, such as along North Bridge Road, Crawford Lane, and French Road. There will also be a designated pick-up and drop-off bay at the entrance of the new centre for those travelling by car. The centre is accessible by public transport, with the nearest MRT station being Lavender MRT station. The centre is a 2-minute walk away from Lavender MRT station’s exit A.

Please note that from April 1 to April 4, 2025, ICA counter services at the current building will be suspended as the agency transitions to the new centre. During these four days, only urgent requests will be processed on a case-by-case basis, so it’s best to plan your visit around these dates.

The new ICA Services Centre is designed to make your visit smoother and faster.

One of the most exciting features of the new centre is the self-collection service for identity cards and passports. Starting in July 2025, Singaporeans will be able to collect their documents from automated kiosks. Currently, customers need to make an appointment for collection at the ICA building. This self-service system will allow people to bypass traditional counters and speed up the process, reducing waiting times significantly.

The new ICA Services Centre will be open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
