But surprise, surprise – there’s still quite a bunch of attractions in Cyberjaya, especially those related to shopping and dining. So next time you’re in Putrajaya, hop on over to the neighbouring Cyberjaya for a bout of exploration.
1. Cyberjaya Lake Gardens
The best place to relax, rejuvenate and admire the surroundings in Cyberjaya is the Cyberjaya Lake Gardens. It is not just the main green lung of the town but also a recreational site for the local community and visitors from others parts of Klang Valley and beyond. At Cyberjaya Lake Gardens, you will find facilities like playgrounds, a lookout tower as well as a boardwalk. Be it for bird-watching, fishing, cycling or jogging, this is the perfect place for both the young and old to spend their mornings or evenings. 2. Gem-In Mall
Cyberjaya is also a cool shopping hub and you can buy almost anything here, from souvenirs and snacks to branded clothes and the latest gadgets. Start off your shopping spree in the Gem-In Mall. On top of a great shopping experience, the mall offers a plethora of eateries as well as a fitness centre and a basketball court.

3. DPULZE Shopping Centre
No visit to Cyberjaya town is complete without spending a day at its coolest and largest mall. DPULZE Shopping Centre has a diverse pool of patrons, be it students from the nearby colleges and universities, office workers, parents with kids, or tourists. As with other malls, there’ll be plenty of cafes as well as local and international restaurants to pick from.
Among the shops you can find here are Happikiddo, where parents can buy educational toys, snacks for children, and nursery furniture, as well as the Litt Tak Hobby Center, a collector’s heaven with collectible items, figurines, toys, and puzzles.

4. Raycer Powerhouse
Despite being a small town, Cyberjaya is full of fun activities, one of which is go-karting. Raycer Powerhouse is not just an academy for go-karters but also a place where the public can enjoy this activity. There are different karts for players based on their level of experience. You can even sign up for a go-karting lesson if you wish to level-up! It’s best to make bookings via email before you come. Corporate and large group bookings are available too.

5. Shaftsbury Square
From the outside, Shaftsbury Square looks like just another shopping mall but the entire area actually comprises service apartments, offices, as well as retail shops. This lively square has plenty of offerings to keep visitors entertained for a few hours.
One of the must-dos in the area is having a steamboat at Volcano Shabu Shabu. All the ingredients for your bubbling pot of steamboat are of the highest and freshest quality. You can opt for either the buffet or a la carte style, and then off you go to make your own soup!
For superb coffee, drop by the highly recommended Chubbies Cafe. They also serve pizza and spaghetti that will whet your appetite even if you weren’t hungry when you entered the cafe.

6. Al-Mukalla Restaurant
Ever tried Yemeni cuisine? Savour them on your trip by heading to Al-Mukalla Restaurant which serves Middle Eastern foods including Yemeni cuisine. For a first-timer, it will be quite hard to decide what to order, so do ask the staff for some recommendations. Otherwise, you can try the Mulawwa Yemeni Bread, Briyani Chicken Mendy, Shish Tawouk, or Chicken Kabsa. Most of the dishes are meat-based but there are options for those who love veggies too.

7. Traskun Restaurant
The range of international restaurants goes on. While Pakistani restaurants are not that common in Malaysia, you can find one in Cyberjaya! Among the dishes that might satisfy you include Karahi Chicken, Lamb Pulao, Chapli Kebab, Butter Naan, and Chicken Butter Karai. Also, the spicy yet refreshing Milk Tea at Traskun Restaurant is a must! If you come in a big group, you can opt for the family platters.

8. Mixcafe Smokelounge
MixCafe Smokelounge is quite possibly the best hookah cafe in Malaysia! On top of shisha, they also serve good food and beverages. Among the foods served at Mixcafe Smokelounge are sandwiches, chicken chop, sausages, fish and chips, fried rice and rolls. On some days, they screen football matches on a big projector!
