Where have you been if you haven’t heard of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival? Returning for the second time, this oversized playground (the biggest in Singapore) is one for people of all ages.
While it’s likely you’re already gearing up your competitive spirit to win some games (hooray to giant stuffed huskies) or preparing your tummy for some yummy grub, we know that some of our less-than-adventurous readers would need more convincing to have a go at the rides. Fret not, here’s a rundown of the top five thrilling rides you’ll regret not going on.
Wave Swinger (NEW!)
This first ride is hard to miss as it makes its debut in the center spot of the carnival. You can consider Wave Swinger to be the new little sister of the all-time-favourite Star Flyer as it steals the spotlight with its tilted roof, giving riders a fresh take on the familiar thrill of the rotating swing.
Freak Out (NEW!)
Freak Out is another new addition to the carnival and a certified must-try for new and returning visitors alike. You and 15 other passengers will be in for an adrenaline boost as you swing from front to back. But the thrill doesn’t stop there! You’ll find yourself gripping onto the handlebars a little tighter when the seats rotate as it reaches its climax.
Jumper Jumper (NEW!)
The name should give you a hint, but Jumper Jumper will keep you bouncing in your seats while simultaneously rotating your seats, which only increases its fun factor. Though it looks pretty harmless, it does have a height requirement of 1.4m.
Mach 5
This next one comes as no surprise as many have voted the Mach 5 as the most exhilarating ride of the carnival. It is guaranteed to rock your whole world upside down, and no amount of description will compare to the feeling of being up there for yourself.
Das Fun Schiff
German for ‘the fun ship’, Das Fun Schiff is the carnival’s version of the essential pirate ship ride. It’s also the best ride for those more nervous about taking rides that are too scary, as long as they manage to secure seats closest to the center of the gondola.
Still feeling fearful? As entry to the carnival is free, definitely still head down to see for yourselves how fun these rides can be!
