Beer is big business in Scotland. The new craft beer-themed hotel’s opening, DogHouse Ellon, can definitely attest to that.
Owned by the controversial Scottish beer brand, BrewDog, DogHouse Ellon will be built on a 13,152-square metre site in Aberdeenshire in early 2019, next to its new Ellon brewery. Featuring 26 rooms all equipped with in-room beer taps and built-in beer fridges in the showers, the hotel is a beer nirvana where craft beer fans can enjoy Punk IPA brews straight from the comfort of their rooms. BrewDog also promised their guests that in DogHouse, they will never be more than an arm’s reach from a chilled craft beer.
Besides BrewDog’s in-house brews, guests will be spoilt for choice with the wide plethora of many other favourite craft beer brands that can be found in the hotel. If you are looking to be edu-tained, book the room that overlooks the brewery for exclusive behind-the-scenes of how brewers work.
Here is a virtual tour to satisfy your curiosity of how this hotel really looks like.
BrewDog has also opened up their shares to the public. So if you are a beer fanatic with loads of extra money to spare, you might want to consider investing and be rewarded with priority bookings.
An interesting fact is that this new beer hotel is made possible with the successful crowdfunding of more than $14 million from the fifth round of Equity for Punks initiative.
BrewDog has also given a sneak peek into its second beer hotel opening in Ohio in the second half of 2019. Apart from beer taps and shower beer fridges, there will be beer-filled hot tubs for you to soak in. Now, how beer-tiful does that sound?
