Why Zurich Airport was voted “Europe’s Leading Airport” for 18 consecutive years
Aside from customer satisfaction, the award reflects the outstanding quality of services available at Zurich Airport in Zurich, Switzerland. To keep travellers and employees safe amidst the pandemic, for example, the airport has implemented a wide range of health and safety protocols, including providing plexiglass panels at counters and more than 200 hygiene stations with masks and disinfectant.
“In these difficult times in particular, the award is a great honour for us,” said Stephan Widrig, CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, in an official press release. “It is recognition for the excellent cooperation between all our airport partners and the huge commitment of everyone working at Zurich Airport.”
Zurich Airport is also the first airport in the world to activate Google’s Live View feature in Google Maps. This technology enables passengers to navigate the terminal areas and easily find their destination using the camera function on their smartphones.
